I was well pleased with the ending story of this well written trilogy. It wasn't the typical happy-ending, but exceptional and it did not leave us hanging . It left us with enough to keep our imaginations flowing. Harris did an awesome job, giving readers a glimpse of Basil's personal life. We now understand why He treats his lovers and random counterparts the way he does. I believe it was very smart of Harris to keep Nicole's character in the picture. I was not a big fan of Yancey Braxton, she did her friend Nicole dirty. Karma have a way of visiting us . I am curious to know if Nicole ever finds out that Ava is Yancey's mother.I felt the love that Jared and Nicole have for one another, very passionate and untouchable. I love Peaches , everyone can attest that they have someone in their life like her. Last but not least, The love that Raymond and Trent share is real, even one sinful act can't separate the two. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire story. Thank You Mr. Harris for Sharing Your great gift with us, may you rest in Love!

E. Lynn Harris is by far my favorite author.
Love. Love . Love. Love it
This book is simply amazing and an excellent way to close Harris' original trilogy. I won't give any spoilers, but I promise that you will NOT be disappointed with this story. It is a MUST read.
E. you're still the man with me. I love your books so stay strong and keep up the good work. I felt as if this book left me hanging. There are a lot of unanswered questions in my mind. My thoughts lead me to think that this book should have been about twice as long as it was. When you're ending it----end it. You didn't close all passages that you opened in prior books. I look forward to future writings. I'm still your #1 fan. I've been with you since the beginning and I plan to stick with you till the end. Blessings up for you E.
I read this book years ago, but I am getting it for a friend of mine. At the time I read it; it did open my eyes as to who can you trust in any relationship.
I thought the book was pretty good, but for some reason I was looking for more. I guess I felt the book should have built more on Basil's doctor situation. Even though he made some progress, I believe we should have been able to realize more progress. I personally did not think Basil progressed enough. There were other situations that I believe should have been included in the book, such as, Nicole discovering that Ava was Yancey's mother, something in reference to Nicole and Jared finally getting a child some kind of way, etc. But overall the book was pretty decent and I can't wait until E. Lynn Harris writes another book. I hope the wait is not too long.
I have read about 8 of his novels but this is not one of my favorites. Nobody can argue that he is gifted with carving a great story with many angles and twists but it my fault for waiting late to read this novel. It is obvious from the characters engaged here that there would be more sequels. Unfortunately, I read the sequels before this introduction. What I notice is Mr. Harris male characters are mostly "down-low Brothers" who easily claim that they are gay and some are even bisexual but then try to offend transsexuals but yet they deceive women with their secrets and proudly think this is okay.

I think we are all tired of the arrogant "Basil" and wish they would just kill him off. Nicole is a nice girl but she is a tad boring for this story. Ms. Yancey is the diva full of mischief who waves a great storyline. I am not amused with the male characters but I do love the comedic rifts that comes with the drama.

The best thing about this novel is the end which is so sincere and saves the novel with an added "star".
